Thursday 8th November 2012  The General National Congress (GNC), has passed legislation reinforcing the right of peaceful demonstration  but forbidding the carrying of  even licensed weapons at any protest. November 2012  The minister for international security strategy at the British Ministry of Defence, Dr Andrew Murrison, told Libya Herald today that Libya had been “transformed” by the revolution. November 2012  An Italian court has ordered that Qaddafi-era holdings in two major Italian firms to be returned to Libya. The president of the Libyan Investment Authority, Mohsen Derregia, issued a statement after the ruling, saying that the Rome  appeal court had ordered the restitution of the LIA’s holdings in UniCredit, one of Europe’s largest banks, and aerospace company Finmeccanica.  [ Read More ]
