Letter of condolences

Friday 12th April 2013

Margaret Thatcher

His Excellency Mr Mahmud Nacua, Libya’s ambassador to UK has sent a letter of condolences to Mr William Hague, Secretary State for Foreign Affairs and Commonwealth:

Your Excellency,

I am writing to offer my sincere condolences for the loss of the Right Honourable The Baroness Thatcher of Kesteven, Prime Minister of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Baroness Thatcher was a symbol of strength and integrity. Her opposing stance of dictators and dictatorship will be a lasting legacy appreciated and admired by the world.

Baroness Thatcher has shaped the politics of this country like no other politician has; something I respect and acknowledge.

I pray she rests in peace and that her family a friends find the strength to go this difficult time.

Please sir, accept the assurances of my highest consideration.

Mahmud Nacua

Libyan Ambassador to United Kingdom and Northern Ireland
